About Me

While I’ve covered the career basics above, all work has a human element. So I’d like to tell you a little more about myself.

I currently live in Connecticut with my wife, Jenn. She’s a PR/marketing consultant, professional writer, and publisher who has also done web development for 18 years. Before we moved here in 2021, we lived in Southeast Pennsylvania.

Between us, we’ve worked on an entirely remote basis for 26 years. She has me beat. I’ve only been fully remote for 8. But I helped pioneer a remote culture with a previous employer (that still exists today and wasn’t something they had to figure out during the pandemic). And I’ve led fully remote teams for those 8 years.

If that’s experience you could use in transitioning your company to more permanent remote work, please reach out as I’m looking for a new role.

Jenn and I have 6 “fur-babies” including one dog (Aggie) and five cats (Tubs, Sophie, Izzy, Ember, and Jack), whom you can “meet” in the sidebar of this site. We go out of our way to adopt pets with “issues” that would otherwise make them tougher to place in new homes. And we can tell you that with a little extra care and a lot of love, these animals will become a part of your family and make your days better for years to come.

While the furrier family members are usually good about avoiding interruptions on video chats and meetings, they’re also good helpers. Occasionally one of the cats will even sit on my desk, watching me like a hawk, making sure I’m on-task. I’ve come to realize the only good micromanagers are cat micromanagers.

In my spare time, I enjoy checking out area parks and taking short hikes with my wife and pup. We also enjoy road trips throughout New England.

I love to read, especially science fiction and fantasy. I enjoy gaming when I have the time. Semi-professional interests include taking on side projects to work with new languages, finance and trading, and even though I wouldn’t class myself a “crypto bro” I am interested in cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and blockchain technology more generally.

Other than that, I’m focused on pursuing my next professional adventure. I hope we have the opportunity to work together along the way.
